SSSTS Online LIVE Video Link Courses
Get the full classroom experience with SSSTS Online LIVE courses. Delivered in real time by a qualified instructor, this course follows the same content and schedule as in-person training.
No technical expertise needed — all you need is a laptop, computer, or tablet with a webcam and microphone. We’ll provide simple setup instructions and support if needed.
You’ll receive official course materials in a downloadable format, and your live instructor will be there throughout to guide you, answer questions, and ensure an interactive, engaging experience.
What is SSSTS?
The Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is a CITB-accredited course designed specifically for site supervisors, foremen, team leaders—or anyone with supervisory duties on a construction site. This two-day intensive course equips delegates with the legal, managerial, and practical safety knowledge to lead their teams effectively.
Who is it For?
Ideal for those stepping into or currently holding supervisory roles, the SSSTS course delivers essential training across several contexts:
- First-time supervisors and aspiring leaders
- Foremen or gangers in charge of three or more workers
- Team leaders managing onsite safety and performance
What You Learn
The curriculum covers a broad spectrum of health, safety, welfare, and environmental topics, such as:
- Key Health & Safety legislation, including CDM 2015
- Risk assessments and method statements
- Managing subcontractors and monitoring safety performance
- Site hazard awareness: working at height, welfare, environmental impact
- Leadership skills: toolbox talks, communication, and behavioural safety approaches
Course Format & Assessment
- Duration: 2 days
- Delivery Options: Classroom-based or live online sessions
- Assessment: 22-question exam (multiple choice and short answer), minimum 80% pass rate, including correct answers on safety-critical questions. Immediate re-sit is typically available.
Certification & Validity
- Upon successful completion, delegates receive a digital CITB SSSTS certificate—valid for 5 years
- A refresher course (SSSTS-R) is available to maintain certification after expiry
